Enter Melville's 2019 Garden Contest

2019 Garden Competition Entries are now open for our 2019 Great Gardens competition. With a £100 first prize, the competition is well worth entering and this year, for the first time, we’ve added a new category – best use of a small space. This might be a balcony, a patio or simply hanging baskets at your front or back door.

1st Prize - £100
Runners-up Prize - £25
Best use of small space - £50

Won last year by Elizabeth Kelly of Woolmet Crescent, Danderhall, the competition celebrates Melville’s finest gardens and most enthusiastic gardeners. Green-fingered tenants should enter as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to photograph gardens looking their very best.

To enter just send an email to Dan Hughes including your name, address and contact details with the subject line: Garden Competition.

Completed entry forms for the Baxter Keiller Prize, named after a keen Melville gardener who sadly passed away in 2014, must be returned to us no later than 5pm on Friday 19 July 2019. Judging will take place in August and winners will be announced at our Annual General Meeting in September.
