John Scott - Welfare Benefits and Energy Adviser

John joined Melville in October 2020. As well as help with benefits, John also provides Melville tenants with advice on their energy bills.

With more than 20 years experience in the field of housing advice and support, John joins from Home Group where he worked as a Financial Inclusion Officer and before that with West Lothian Council's Advice Shop.

In his spare time John enjoys cinema, live music and football including helping out as a coach for his local kid's team.

"My job can be demanding but also very rewarding. The past few years have not been the easiest for anybody, starting with covid and then the cost-of-living crisis, but I'm here to help if I can."
