Rent Survey for 2026/27

Every year, we ask for your views on rent levels for the year ahead, starting 1 April 2026.

In previous years, our Board has taken different approaches when setting rent increases. During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, increases were kept as low as possible to help support tenants through a particularly challenging period. Before this, rent changes were generally set in line with inflation.

Like many housing associations, our Board is now focused on setting rents at a level that supports the long-term financial health of the organisation, ensuring we can continue to provide safe, high-quality homes and services.

When making its decision, the Board will consider a range of factors, including:

  • Inflation, which is currently hovevering between 3% and 4%
  • Our long-term plans for maintaining and improving homes
  • Scottish Government requirements, including sustainability and health and safety standards
  • Rising contractor and repair costs

While the final decision on rent levels rests with the Board, tenant feedback plays an important role in shaping that decision. We encourage everyone to share their views as part of this year’s consultation.
