Mid Market Rent Homes
Mid market homes are different from social housing. Rents are higher than those charged by Melville, but lower than you would pay to a private landlord. Not everyone can apply for a mid market home. There are certain criteria you must meet, including a minimum and maximum income. You also won't be able to apply if you savings worth more than a certain amount.

Through our Ironmills subsidiary we have a very small number of mid market homes located at the Old School Crescent development in Mayfield, Midlothian (just outside Dalkeith).
These 11 properties are all finished to an extremely high standard and come with a modern fitted kitchen (oven/hob/hood), bathroom with shower above, carpets, gas central heating, double glazing throughout and a communal drying area. Private parking space provided.
To rent one of our Mid Market homes you MUST:
- have an annual income of between £24,000 and £35,000
- provide 3 months’ bank statements
- provide 3 months’ pay slips if applicable
- pass our credit check
- if approved, pay a £500 deposit and one month’s rent in advance
