Update on Services

Following recent announcements from Holyrood and Westminster on new restrictions to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, from Wednesday 23 September Melville has made the following changes to service provision:

  • All appointments with staff will be held online or over the phone until further notice
  • We will not be progressing any new mutual exchanges for the time being. For those already in progress, we will assess on a case by case basis before deciding whether or not they can be completed
  • We are also suspending the carpet tile service for at least the next 3 weeks. If you’re interested in picking up carpet tiles once the service resumes, please let us know and we’ll add you to the waiting list
  • Our office at the Dalkeith Corn Exchange will not reopen before the end of the calendar year

The latest restrictions have NO impact on our repairs and maintenance services, which are allowed to continue as normal, subject to strict social distancing and health and safety guidelines.
